TriMet Layoff & Bumpback MOA Revision

TriMet Sisters and Brothers:
We are pleased to report that the parties met today to discuss our members’ concerns regarding the upcoming layoffs and employee moves. As a result of those discussions, the parties agreed to revise Section 1, Paragraph 13.
Under the revised language, employees who are involuntarily curtailed will have up to five years from the date of the involuntary curtailment to return to the position from which they were curtailed. This provision applies to any employee who has been involuntarily curtailed on or after November 1, 2025.
