On October 16, the Union and the Employer (TriMet) participated in the arbitration hearing regarding the Stores assistant supervisor/storekeeper dispute.

Both sides are now preparing post-hearing briefs, which are due to the arbitrator on December 19. After briefs are submitted, the arbitrator will review the full record and issue a written decision. We do not have a firm timeline for when that decision will be released but generally takes between 45-60 days. We will update the membership as soon as we receive it.

While there are no guarantees in arbitration, we can share that the hearing went very well and we presented a strong case on behalf of the membership.
