Legislature will return to Salem next month to restore essential transportation services and staff
Governor Tina Kotek said she's using her constitutional powers to call a special session of the Oregon Legislature. Lawmakers will meet starting Friday, August 29, 2025, to work on a plan to fund basic road maintenance and operations at the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), and to help cover funding needs for local governments and transit districts.
