Shoutout to Brother Sean, a TriMet bus operator, for being an all-around amazing human. When his uncle passed away, Sean decided to gift his late uncle’s electric mobility device to one of his regular riders who was using a manual wheelchair. He noticed how exhausted the rider seemed after a long day and wanted to help out.
That small gesture made a huge difference and even sparked a friendship both of them now call “a blessing.” Honestly, we need more Seans in the world!
Transit Operator Appreciation Day is coming up on March 18, so don’t forget to show some love to your local transit operators. A wave, a smile, or a quick “thank you” can go a long way in making their day.
