Oregon Alliance Prescription Drug Program

Subject: Oregon Alliance Prescription Drug Program

Greetings Affiliates and Friends:

Mark your calendars and plan to attend the next Seniors and Aging Issue Series program on medication and prescription safety June 15, 2017.

Presented by Oregon Alliance for Retired Americans Education Fund (ORARA-EF) as part of its goal helping Oregon retirees and seniors stay informed on issues affecting their well-being. I’ve attached our announcement flyer where you will find a link that will take you to a simple registration form. Please share, especially with retirees. Regular members taking medications certainly will have an interest, too. I hope you’ll share this e-Mail announcement and attachment with them.

As we age, prescription medications become more a part our lives to help us stay healthy.  Proper use of these prescriptions makes a big difference in their potential effectiveness and is important regardless of age.  Join us for an eye-opening presentation by the co-founder and former director of the University of Oregon Drug Information Center, Mark Miller. His presentation will enlighten your members and retirees to protect them from ineffective or dangerous prescription drug taking practices often innocently undertaken by many.

The program also includes a presentation on the state-sponsored Oregon Prescription Drug Program. The free discount program to save money on prescription drugs is available to all Oregonians. The program’s Operations Director will explain how to enroll and use the program to participants, including sign-up opportunity on site.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Please pass this along to your retiree members and encourage their participation. I hope you’ll be able to attend this brief program, too.

Looking forward to June 15, 2017.
