Our sisters & brothers at Cascades East Transit in Bend need our support!

Cascades East Transit fixed-route bus service is operated by a Washington-based company called Paratransit Services, which is currently negotiating a new contract with ATU-represented drivers. Paratransit Services’ Bremerton-based CEO earns over $300,000 per year, but the company expects the frontline workers who provide CET service to accept $14 an hour with poor or no health insurance coverage. These low wages make it virtually impossible for CET drivers to make ends meet, especially with the rising cost of living in Bend.

On Thursday, September 6th, drivers and their community allies will rally at Hawthorne Station to demand that Paratransit Services offer a living wage and meaningful benefits to the people who actually provide transit service in and around Bend.
