Hurricane Michael, the strongest storm to hit the U.S. in many years, made landfall with wind speeds of 155mph in the Florida Panhandle and then wreaked havoc on Virginia and the Carolinas, areas that are still recovering from Hurricane Florence.
More than one million lost power, and homes and property were destroyed. The storm and its aftermath devastated the homes and property of many ATU members and their families in Florida and neighboring states. The cleanup and recovery will take weeks and maybe even months.
