C-VAN dispatchers approve new contract

Sisters & brothers, another update from C-TRAN: C-VAN paratransit dispatchers just ratified a new contract with 100% of eligible members voting yes! Here are the key highlights your officers want you to know:

  • Sick leave buy-backs were made better: the company is moving to 50% buy-back, and the 200 hour requirement was removed
  • Sick time can now be used for bereavement leave (it can be used for leave involving grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and first cousins)
  • We won a 3% wage increase retroactive to June 1st, with CPI (based on Portland CPI, to a maximum of 3%) for 2018, 2019, and 2020
