Trimet agrees to provide leave to new Operators

ATU 757 Leadership knows that the first months of employment with no time off can be taxing on our newest members. We have worked with Trimet to ensure that all new-hire Operators will be given three (3) unpaid vacation days following the completion of training. New-hires will be able to request these days and lock them in during the hiring process, so long as the days occur after completion of training. Otherwise, new Operators may request these days in the "Red Book". This unpaid leave will be available until the completion of probation, where the member will then be eligible for regular paid vacation days. The MOA is attached to this article.
