First Transit Update

As you all know by now, First Transit is planning on transitioning most of you from furlough to lay-off status. We had a discussion with Regions 1 & 2, along with a Representative from ATU International, to discuss if we can avoid this, and what implementation looks like if we cannot.

We will continue to work with First Transit in its attempts to force TriMet to honor its contractual obligations and reimburse First Transit through the CARES Act so that First Transit can pay you, or at least continue your health benefits.
