ATU Report – Abandoning Paratransit Service to Save It

Dear Local officers,

As you are well aware, Uber, Lyft, Bridj and other transportation network companies (TNCs) continue to expand and grow across North America. Unfortunately, companies like Uber are “disrupting” public transit in all of the wrong ways. From denying that their drivers are employees at all to refusing to provide service to people with disabilities, these companies are beginning to look like the robber barons of the 1890s, not the innovators they claim to be.
